The chihuahua puppy toy pets are not healthy as puppies and continue on as adult dogs.
Some breeders pick up small sires to avoid birth difficulties. In fact, it is not the size of parents that defines the size of the offspring, but the combination of genetic characteristics they pass over to their young. A small sire may produce much larger puppies, or vice versa. It is impossible to tell the future size of puppies, and one litter-mate may be twice as large as the other. Some inexperienced breeders believe it is possible to reduce the size by limiting the dog’s ratio. This is absolutely wrong and is fraught with serious disabilities and poor general health.

Though these dogs need socialization at an early age, it is best to avoid taking your pet on walks in the neighborhood, or around other unknown pets until it is 16 weeks of age and has been fully vaccinated and has a fully developed immune system. These dogs are very curious and like to investigate everything, so they have to be trained obedience not to get lost. Never overfeed the dog of this breed, because they are susceptible to overweight and may develop hypoglycemia. These dogs cannot stand too cold and hot weather.
