Chihuahua toy dogs should come from a responsible kennel and puppies should be vaccinated.
According to the AKC breed standard, the dogs should not exceed 6 pounds in weight, but pet quality animals may weigh up to 9 pounds. The dogs may be smooth-coated or long-coated. They have large, luminous eyes and long, erect ears. Strangely enough, long-haired dogs seem to be less aggressive than short-hairs. These animals love their own like and their owner, but can be suspicious of strangers and extremely wary of unfamiliar dogs. They are scrappy with poorly behaved children, because they are intolerant of teasing.

Chihuahua Toy -

These little dogs originated in Mexico in the state of the same name around the 7th century. The breed was worshipped by the Aztecs and the Toltecs. These animals are naturally small and aren’t the result of breeding down large breeds. They have square bodies with a deep chest and widely set front paws. This makes them look firm and sturdy, although their overall stance does not create an impression of that of a Bulldog’s. They come in various solid, splashed or marked colors.
